let’s talk midi/maxi skirts!
If you have been following the team’s Instagram stories this week, you know we have been talking about the new rage — midi/maxi skirts!! Satin skirts have always been a classic to wear in the spring/summer season, but now we are seeing more than just satin! We are now seeing denim, leather, cargo — the whole lot! This is a super fun trend to dip into if you want to try something different! I promise this trend is definitely going to grow on you!

First up, we have the denim midi/maxi skirt. Now listen, I was a little hesitant about this at first too; but the more I see these skirts styled, the more I fall in love with them! You can play around with texture in the skirt as well if you are feeling adventurous! They are so effortlessly chic, and are a great transition piece that can be worn from the winter to the spring season.

LEATHER SKIRTS
Let’s talk leather! This is the more edger approach to the midi/maxi skirt trend. The skirt is the stand out piece, and can easily be paired with a basic tee and a bootie — or even a sneaker! The leather midi/maxi skirt is perfect to wear to work, or even out to dinner! Super versatile, and very cool. And although the leather may feel very “wintery” it is still a great piece to wear in the spring!

Cargo skirts have big pockets and visible stitching on the outside of the skirt just like cargo pants would. Much like the denim and leather skirts, you want the cargo skirt to be the focal point of the outfit. This is where your basics are your best friend. You want to be able to maximize the full use of this skirt with them. By wearing cargo skirts you are hitting two trends at the same time! Woohoo!

And finally, for the beloved satin skirt. This is the classic you all should already have in your closet. But if you don’t, now is the time to snatch one up! Satin skirts are super fun to play around with colour! They are the perfect skirt for the spring/summer season (but can still be worn all year around!!) These skirts can be paired with the basics, but can also be worn with a fun shirt or sweater!
