In honour of Black History Month, we wanted to highlight and showcase some Black-owned businesses that we LOVE! Here are 10 amazing Black-owned business’s that you should support all year round!
Coutukitsch
If you have been here for a while, you know how much we love Coutukitsch! Coutukitsch is found and led by Dorian Kitsch and her partner Kofi Oteng based out of Alberta. They have amazing high quality plated jewellery that are sure to make a statement to every outfit. Their jewellery and accessories are classic and timeless, and you are guaranteed to find something you LOVE on their website.
Fun Fact: The name Coutukitsch was created by combining two names together! 'Coutu’ is a family name that represents Dorian's Métis heritage and ‘Kitsch’ is her surname — so cool!!

2. Fenty Beauty by Rihanna
We all know and loveeee Fenty Beauty by the Queen herself — Rihanna. Rihanna truly took the world by storm when she launched her makeup line back in 2017. Her line of makeup is so inclusive for everyone and every skin type. She has introduced 40+ different foundation shades since the launch of here brand, which was unheard of before she stepped into the beauty industry. The Queen never fails us.

3. Local European
You may have seen these infamous parachute pants all over social media a few months ago! Local European is the place to shop for all thing trendy and sustainable! All of their pieces are made with dead stock fabric to help reduce waste and save energy! They are based out of LA, and are always improving their manufacturing processes. They want their customers to shop mindfully, and do not frequently restock — which will make their pieces a one of a kind in your closet!

This signature bag was introduced back in 2014 by designer Telfar Clemens. The ICONIC shopping bag with the T logo really took off in 2020 like crazy!! These amazing bags are made out of vegan leather, and are always sold out! They are such a hot seller, so if you can get your hands on one, you are golden! These bags come in various sizes and colours, and will always go with any outfit.

5. Brother Vellies
Aurora James founded Brother Vellies back in 2013 and is KILLING the shoe game!! Her shoes and accessories are absolutely stunning. Her brand celebrates the traditional African design practices and have such a unique design that will never get old. And, her brand is sustainable!! Some of Brother Vellies’s accessories are made from by-product materials such as soiling from recycled tires and feather dyed from florals! (How cool?!)

6. KNC Beauty
KNC Beauty was founded by Kristin Noel Crawley who created a line of all natural lip products that are effective and come in really fun packaging! She became interested in lip masks while in Tokyo but found they were full of harsh chemicals and ingredients. Launched in 2016, KNC Beauty created the first all natural collagen infused lip mask and two years later created her signature retinol infused eye masks - all without chemicals.
