let’s take a look at some holiday trends

November is already halfway over, which means the holidays are approaching faster than we know it! With all the gift shopping we are starting to do, we cannot forget to put aside a bit of time to shop for ourselves for our holiday outfits!

Holiday clothes don’t stay in stock for too long because everyone knows they have a limited time to purchase!

So, to make things easier for you, we want to break down some holiday trends that are very popular this season! Once you get a feel for what you like, you can always go and check out our Formal Holiday guide that we just released, and shop your fave outfits from there! ;)

The holidays are a time to have lots of fun with your outfit, so don’t shy away from a little sparkle and shine! :)

Let’s get into it!

Sequins are flashing left and right this holiday season! The amount of sequins we are seeing in stores right now is crazy…but we kind of love it. The holidays are the perfect time to embrace all things sparkly. Some of you might be intimidated to give the whole sequin thing a go, but we promise its a lot easier to style than you might think! If you first want to dip your toes into this trend, you can start out with a sequin mini or maxi skirt, and pair it with your fave black bodysuit and blazer!

We always see velvet roll out again around this time of year, but this year there are SO many amazing pieces! Velvet can look cheap very easily, but it can also look so luxe and rich! Velvet suits have been a big trend this holiday season and we are pumped to hopefully see some of you participate in it!

3. bows

Bows have exploded everywhere this season! We think this partially has to do with ballet core being a big trend this year, but nonetheless a good bow or two for the holidays never hurt anyone! You can wear bows in so many different ways from dresses, tops, hair accessories, shoes and even bags! They are the perfect stand out piece to any holiday outfit.

Who doesn’t love a cozy faux fur coat? Faux fur is the ultimate glitzy touch to any look, and we are obsessed. Plus, they are the perfect coat to stay warm yet stylish in during the cold winter weather! If you want the ultimate glamours holiday look, make sure to drape your faux fur coat over your shoulders while holding a glass of champagne ;).

5. red

And of course, we cannot forget about red! There is no escaping this bright and punchy colour this year — but we are definitely not complaining! We love seeing that added touch of colour to any outfit, or even making the colour your whole outfit! If you haven’t yet tried out this colourful trend, now is the time to do so! Remember you can always start off slow with either a red bag or shoe! :)
