What Colours are Trending for Spring 2024
Even though most of us are still bundled up in our winter coats and Ugg boots, spring is just arpund the corner and we could not be more excited to see all the new trends emerge!
As some of you may know, the stylists do a big trend meeting every season discussing everything up and coming in the fashion world. And let me tell you, we have a lot of trending colours this season. Now it’s no surprise that pastels are always popping up around the spring, however it is truly all about the pastel and subdued hues this season. From Loewe to Prada, there is something exciting about every trending colour we will be discussing!
Let’s get into it!
Pantone Colour of the Year: Peach Fuzz
If you saw our trend report from 2 weeks ago, you would already know that the colour of the year (and spring season) is going to be Peach Fuzz! We will be seeing this colour in a multitude of different items ranging from dresses and suits to shoes and bags! We are already obsessed!
Buttery Yellow
Buttery yellow is said to be the new “neutral” and we are here for it! This soft shade of yellow has been seen all over the 2024 runways from fashion houses like Louis Vuitton and Loewe — and is slowly but surely starting to make its way on to the shelves of many different clothing stores. So we suggest if you start seeing anything in this buttery yellow shade, to get your hands on it!
(Make sure to keep an eye out for this week’s Tap to Style ;)
Not Quite Barbie Pink
We all know that Viva Magenta dominated the runways last spring. And although that colour was beautiful, it is pastel pink’s time to shine! As you can probably tell by now, all of the colours we are discussing all have a very cool and airy undertone which makes these trending colours very easy to act as a neutral colour. Meaning that these colours will be so much easier to incorporate into your wardrobe than you think.
Powder Blue
When we were having our seasonal trend meeting, we all predicted that peach, buttery yellow, and powder blue will be the hottest colours of the season. And surely enough, these 3 colours specifically have been beginning to pop up everywhere. This colour has been seen on runways with Prada, Fendi and more!
Charcoal Gray
Charcoal gray made a major comeback in the fall/winter season of 2023, and it is here to stay for 2024! This shade of gray will be ideal to pair with all of the pastel colours mentioned above. Black can tend to look very harsh paired with pastels, which is why gray makes the perfect alternative! Gray was once again very popular on the Fendi runways.
Deep Cherry Red
And with no surprise, this deep cherry red is also here to stay! This shade of red has truly dominated the winter fashion season and we cannot get enough of it. So if you gave not gotten your hands on anything red yet, now is the time because we can guarantee this colour will still be extremely popular this spring — Gucci and Hermés are proving it to us!
