let’s look at 5 brands you need to know
In this week’s blog we wanted to introduce you all to 5 new fashion brands that you might have not heard of before!
As us stylists are always scouring the internet for the latest finds, you start to come across some really cool and unique brands that have so many amazing pieces!
The 5 brands we will be looking at in this week’s blog are relatively new to the fashion world, but have certainly made their mark! All of us girls love these brands as we love their originality and quality to their pieces.
And the best part is that most of these brands won’t have you breaking the bank!
All of the brand’s websites are linked in their titles if you want to take a look and shop around (I definitely will)!
Let’s get into it!
Some of you might have already heard of this brand if you are following the beautiful @matildadjerf. Matilda is a Swedish fashion influencer who is commonly known for her amazing hair! She launched Djerf Avenue back in 2019, and it has been a hit ever since.
Matilda’s style is very much vintage inspired and she incorporates many great basic pieces into her looks. This style is reflected in her brand, as she wanted to create pieces that felt timeless, and easy to wear day to day.
Djerf Avenue products are produced in Portugal, Italy and Sweden, and they only use natural/regenerated fibres in all of their garments.
We are obsessed with Matilda and her brand, and we know you all will love it too!
We are sure most of you have heard of The Frankie Shop! This was one of Charly’s personal favourite brands as their blazers are top notch!
Similar to Djerf Avenue, The Frankie Shop has many great basics, however they have more of a modern and trendy take on their pieces. The Frankie Shop took off back in New York in 2014 when it was founded by Gaëlle Drevet. Her vision was to create a clothing brand that was made with the intention of serving women who believe looking good means feeling like themselves.
They are most known for their oversized suiting and modern appeal. Their clothes have an overall fun aesthetic where their pieces can be used as amazing wardrobe staples, or fun one of a kind items.
How could you not want one of their blazers?!
Source Unknown is another very recent online retailer that has taken the fashion world by storm!
Source Unknown was launched back in 2020, and was created to help inspire women who enjoy affordable luxe-looking basics, and seek trendy yet wallet-conscious pieces.
Source Unknown pieces are very wearable, but have a special detail and modern twist to every item that makes them feel special. They are most commonly known for their utilitarian style which adds to the brand’s uniqueness.
Their pieces will certainly have your wardrobe feeling fresh, and on trend as they are always coming out with new and exciting items.
4. One Mile
Sammy Robinson is a well loved Australian based fashion influencer who is the founder + creative director of One Mile. Sammy describes One Mile as an ode to her childhood. She wanted to create a brand that was an expression of herself, with a minimalist eye.
Sammy is very passionate about the quality and design of her clothes, and wants her pieces to feel feminine in whatever way that means for the consumer.
One Mile plays with a variety of warm, buttery and silky textures to create a very luxe experience while wearing their pieces.
Sammy’s overall goal is to have everyone looking and feeling beautiful by creating a variety of different pieces that are represented by her own nostalgia.
One Mile will truly have you tapping into your divine feminine side, and we are here for it!
5. Flattered
Last but not least, Flattered started as a passion project by the Swedish couple Hanna and Gustav.
Hanna had the initial idea for Flattered when she noticed that sleek, fashionable indoor footwear existed for men, but wasn’t as common for women. Hanna longed for something that women could wear in their house alone or wear while entertaining guests.
And thus from one unique idea, Flattered was born. The brand first started out a as ballet flat slipper company, that quickly evolved into the global footwear brand that it is today.
Flattered is best known for their commitment to craftsmanship and the appreciation of the Scandinavian minimalistic design.
The name Flattered derives from the brand’s original collection of ballet flats back in 2013. All of their products are designed in Stockholm, and produced in Italy, Spain and Portugal.
Flattered aims to create a new type of luxury for smart, independent and conscious women who want their garments to stand the test of time.
We think we all have to get our hands on a pair of these beautifully made shoes!
