My soul feels forever 17, and I like to believe I’m youthful, young and fresh. The reality is I’ve had more than 40 trips around the sun, and I use a small army of amazing products that help maintain & improve what I’m working with. Here’s a rundown of some of my favourite products that keep me looking & feeling my best!
1. aveda botanical repair strengthening masque
This was a gift from a friend & she was BANG ON! I’ve loaned my jar to the team and they agree - rich, hydrating, softening YAAAAAS!
2. ouai detox shampoo
When your hair is dirty AF, this will be your best friend… same amazing ouai smell.
3. ouai fine hair conditioner
I’ve got fine hair. It is what it is. But this makes my hair soft, without weighing it down and holy hell ouai stuff smells good.
4. thic daily hair perfecting oil
My hair stylist developed this - humble brag! She’s amazing and so is this freaking product. For someone with fine hair, it’s amazing the improvement I’ve seen, and I feel totally confident wearing my hair ‘natural’ more often than I ever did. I truly think this is for EVERYONE. I put it on when my hair is wet & washed, every night before bed, and every time I style my hair. I am lost without it.
5. bondi procapil hair tonic for thinning hair
I’ve used other “thinning hair” products and I like it (tho still a new addition), but I use it every night and doesn’t make my hair gross and I think it’s made my hair a little more ‘full’ (I’ll report back in the new year - their salt wave spray deserves an honourable mention)
6. living proof phd dry shampoo
There’s other high/low brands that do the trick… I just find this a good, mid-priced, high performer. I’m into it.
1. knc beauty collagen infused lip mask
I have virgin lips (who wants to use me for injection before and after - CALL ME!) but this gives me a great pout that makes me feel appropriately sassy before an event.
2. better skin lava magik cleanser & scrub mask
This can be sometimes a hard one to find, but heck yes I love it! For someone who wants an exfoliating daily cleanser it’s a great prep for your serums and moisturizers. And who doesn’t love multi-functionality???? Serves as a mask, too. Also… get dry elbows? Give them a scrub with this and read on… you’re welcome!
3. everyone hydrating face toner
I gave this one a whirl over the summer and bought another bottle - that’s a good sign, right? I like the refreshing delivery system (it’s a spray - yeah, I’m a fancy talker), the value, and subtle hydration without a residue.
4. graydon full moon serum
I’m also admittedly a graydon fan!!! They use sound ingredients and their formulations really work for me. I feel like a goddess day & night with this one.
5. knesko nano gold collagen repair face mask
This makes me feel fancy - seriously! And I’m not mad at the results. While it’s not cheap, I continue to use the serum for days after I use the mask (I’m no dummy!).
6. supergoop unseen sunscreen - 40 spf
I like this light formulation with broad protection… leather looking accessories are good; leather looking skin is not.
7. laneige lip sleeping mask - vanilla
This delivers heaps of moisture to lips and in the morning, I feel like a new woman.
8. radford 24k gold hydrogel eye mask
Who doesn’t like an eye mask??? I like this one in particular because I think it tightens and hydrates my eye area (which needs a little TLC as I mature).
9. youth to the people superberry hydrate + glow dream mask
F*** this product is good. I only started using it and experienced CRAZY results. My forehead lines are significantly diminished and I wake up with newborn skin. GET SOME OF THIS!!! This is also a hero product for me.
10. graydon face glow - tinted
Another graydon fav… sometimes I use this with my foundation, other times in lieu. It just makes me feel like a dewey girl next door and I’m totally into that vibe.
1. megababe le tush butt mask
Who doesn’t like a smooth and soft butt? Case closed. Also recommend for a couples activity. You’re welcome.
2. good goddess fragrance drops - grown & sexy
I’m a bit of a fragrance junkie but good goddess fragrance drops are MY FAV. Mixed together is my fave but this one alone makes me feel like a freaking sexy minx… that’s for sure!
3. good goddess fragrance drops - bored & juicy
As I said above, this is a fav and like to mix it with it’s friend “grown & sexy” but this is a great daytime fragrance to wear alone. Makes me feel more innocent than I really am.
4. the body shop hemp hand cream
I have used this product for the last 25 years (that’s about as long as it’s been around!!!). I love it for my hands (and so does everyone I introduce to it) but it’s also amazing for dry elbows (one day I’ll tell you more about my elbow hangups).
5. kopari natural deodorant - coconut
I only started wearing deodorant recently (I’m not embarrassed - I’m a head sweater, not an armpit sweater), but I am so into this. I like the subtle scent, it moisturizes my pitties, and now I totally feel part of the club!
6. the body shop shea body butter
I love this body butter for extra dry skin. Totally a winter go-to for me, and the fresh fragrance is lovely and doesn’t compete with other fragrances I layer. It’s also perfect for when you wanna show off those gams!!!
7. lush shower gel - good karma… everybody needs it
Full disclosure… some people are totally not into the signature smell. But wanna know what? When I wear it (yeah, I also have the EDT) people always ask me WHAT ARE YOU WEARING??? Go figure.
